Forum's settings

Hello,

Glad to see the rise of a new warez forum. Keep up the good work and hopefully this place will be around for many, many years to come.

The reason of this message is send the congrats but also observations about this forum. Until two years ago I was also an admin and owner of a satellite hacking site. I know from my experience how easily is to screw-up by adding adons not tested very well and how easily is to set features/options that come in conflict.

For instance, I have registered and days later I tried to access the forum. Good Luck!!! There was no way to log in even if I used the forum to clean cookies and even after I cleaned the Chrome cookies. At that time I tried to find a way to send a message to the admin or whoever is in charge about my problem. Good luck with that too! The message system for a non registered member does not work. So here I am, a registered member that reset the password, trying to log in with no success.
Few days later, opening another browser (firefox) worked just fine.

You may find the correct reasons and explanations of my problem but keep in mind that those explanations are useless, it should not be the case for any user. It seems logical that the forum's setting affects users and registrations. In my opinion, the "phBB" soft is solid and adding whatever features about that do not work right are useless. Why a forum like this should check for password strength? Are you a bank? I would not be surprised that after some time it would ask to renew the password for "security reasons". Why there is a need to clean the cookies and to have the link right in front of you with "if you can not login..." Right there is a problem! Anyway, this is meant as constructive criticism but nevertheless it is frustrating.

Hello DigitALL,

Thanks for liking TheWarez, The correct reason of login issue is cookies issue, you must properly delete TheWarez site related cookies from your browser in order to login, It was happened after we moved from a slower server to a faster one, The whole site was moved and caused the cookies issue.

Cookies setting is stored in every server by itself so after moving to new server, user needs to delete old server's thewarez cookies in order to create new server's thewarez cookies.

You were able to login using firefox right? means you didn't properly delete cookies of thewarez from your chrome browser. please google about it and you will get a proper answer to delete cookies from chrome.

FYI, Checking for password strength is for your own good, It tells you how secure is your password, weak passwords can be hacked easily and you may lose your account.

Nope, TheWarez won't ask you to renew your password ever. We have not added these settings here, you can keep your password as long as you want and change it anytime you want.

TheWarez is still being developed and currently is in beta version, so you may find some features not working as they should be but we are working these every single day. Every feature is tested for days before implement to the live board.

You may contact support from Help Menu and we will solve your TheWarez related problems.

This thing with cookies seems to be particular to this forum. I member to tons of forums and warez forums but do not have this problem. I am using Firefox only to download from YouTube. I still can't log with Chrome using your adon to clean cookies. It is inconvenient for me to clean all the history/cookies since I have conveniently saved logins and passwords form many places. If you think about it, it is not oke for someone to access a single forum to clean each time.

As I mentioned before, I believe it is an adon compatibility issue with other browsers and for the benefit of users, it should not create problems. Better remove it than loosing members, jut my opinion.
